The United Methodist Women is the largest denominational faith organization for women with approximately 800,000 members whose mission is fostering spiritual growth, developing leaders, and advocating for social justice.
The community of United Methodist Women shall be a community of women whose purpose is to know God, and to experience freedom as persons through Jesus Christ; to develop creative, supportive fellowship; and to expand concepts of mission through participation in the global ministries of the church. Our Church UMW unit is active. We meet quarterly for a breakfast program. We also have 5 circles that meet monthly. Creedmoor UMW support a wide variety of mission projects and participate in activities for spiritual enrichment. We support mission projects both in our state and also around the world. In our church, we sponsor the UMW Harvest Bazaar, Bake Sale, Yard Sale (which takes place on the first Saturday in November), and other fundraisers to raise funds for missions. |
