Our Children reflecting on children's sabbath 2018. Realizing Dr. King's vision for all children: a future of hope and not despair.
Children's Praise and Worship Time
We were all created to praise our creator and children do this with joyful abandon! At Creedmoor UMC we offer a space for children to sing and dance and praise with wiggles and laughter during our Children's Praise and Worship time. After the children's sermon during the traditional service, all children are invited to move downstairs for children's praise and worship. They'll sing a mix of contemporary praise songs and traditional children's church music. Following a time of praise, the children will discuss the mornings sermon topic in child friendly language and talk about how it applies to them. The children always have an opportunity to share about what is going on in their lives and pray together. On the first Sunday of the month, children will be brought back to the service of Word and Table (communion) to experience this with their parents. All other Sunday's children can be picked up downstairs from the Children's Praise and Worship room. Children's Praise and Worship is open to any child who wishes to attend. Children are always welcome to stay in worship with their parents if they choose to do so.
